Herbal Remedies to Lose Weight

Excess fat deposition in a person’s body is termed as obesity. Everyday, we come across different ways to reduce fat and lose weight, but most of them are ineffective.

The safest and best way to lose weight is through the use of herbs, primarily because they do not cause a negative reaction with anything. Even if you cannot exercise due to reduced immunity or excessive obesity, you can try these herbal remedies to lose weight.

  • Yerba mate

When combined with rose hips, hibiscus and red Rooibos, this herb makes an excellent herbal tea which is extremely efficient in weight management. It is also a good source of vitamin C, and it is an energy booster and  simulator too.

  • Garcinia and hibiscus

These herbs taken together not only help in losing weight, but they boost your immune system too. Both of them contain HCA or hydroxycitric acid, which is extremely helpful in losing weight. It is found in most weight-reduction products too.

You can either take them as extracts, or as a tea. Boil one table spoon of hibiscus, grated dry ginger, hawthorn berry and 2 dry garcinia fruits for 10 minutes, and sip like tea. This herbal tea is not meant to be given to children.

  • Papaya

Eat a plate full of papaya at breakfast. This will not only help in losing weight fast, but it is very good for your stomach too. Papaya helps in cleansing toxins from your blood, thus facilitating proper bowel movements.

You can sprinkle pepper powder over it for better taste. Pepper is also helpful in enabling fat burning.

  • Mint

Prepare chutney with mint leaves and take it with every meal during the day. You can also start your day with one cup of mint tea everyday. Mint is very helpful in the breaking down of body fat properly.

  • Honey

Honey is extremely effective in mobilizing body fat. Take a spoon of honey a half hour after every meal. You can mix one teaspoon of honey in lemon juice and take it two times a day.

You can also take warm water in a bowl, add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice in it, and drink it first thing in the morning on empty stomach. This will prove to be a very good remedy for dissolving excessive fat.
